Need a little help?
How do I activate PlainAttach?
Open PlainAttach once, then enable it in Apple Mail › Settings › Extensions. If it does not appear yet, restart Mail and check the list again.
Mail warns that PlainAttach can read all my messages. Is that safe?
Yes. macOS shows this question for every Mail extension that works with message content. PlainAttach needs this access to turn pictures into attachments. It has no internet access and sends nothing anywhere. Everything happens on your Mac. Click Turn On.
Can I still insert images inline?
Yes. Use the PlainAttach toggle in the Mail composition window when you want an image to appear inside the message.
Let’s work it out.
